Our Water/Wastewater crews are locating and marking water curb stops this summer. Curb stops will be marked with blue flags/paint. Flags will be removed once information is entered into our GPS system.
Our staff will leave door hangers at any properties in need of curb stop repair. A curb stop is a private water shutoff valve in the right of way on a property. Hangers will specify how deep the curb stop is buried with recommendation to raise them *if needed*. Curb stops are recommended to be 2” or less from ground height for easy access and allows for easier location and shutoff in an emergency. Curb stops are private assets owned by property owners.
Please leave any flags in the ground and our staff will remove once work and entries are completed.
