The City of Le Sueur Recreation Department has partnered with Connecting Kids to offer financial assistance for youth participation in summer and fall recreation activities.
Connecting Kids is funded by the Greater Mankato Area United Way and with donations from other local organizations and foundations. Their mission is to support the healthy development of children and youth in their service area through engagement in organized out-of-school time youth development and youth enrichment opportunities.
Connecting Kids works closely with community partners such as the City of Le Sueur Recreation Department, who offer a variety of programs to provide direct services to families of eligible children and youth so that they will have the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial barriers.
Scholarships are available to youth who qualify for the free & reduced lunch guidelines. Families who do not participate in the free or reduced lunch program are still eligible on a case-by-case basis.
This partnership gives Le Sueur residents who may need financial assistance the opportunity to participate in programming through the Le Sueur Recreation department. These programs include, but are not limited to summer swimming lessons and summer and fall recreation activities and classes.
