July 31st Storm Damage
The City of Le Sueur Public Works Dept. continues to work on storm damage cleanup in City Parks and streets through tomorrow. In light of the upcoming Giant Days Celebration, staff will focus on Legion Park, the parade route, and Giant Days 5k route Thursday and Friday. If residents along these routes have storm damage debris, (trees, limbs, branches,) within the right of way, boulevards and streets, City Staff will be working to remove that debris before the weekend.
City of Le Sueur residents that have storm damage debris, (trees, limbs, branches,) in all other areas of town may place that debris in the boulevard on the back side of the curb *NOT IN THE STREET* and City Staff will work on removing that debris on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. City Staff will be working from the north end of town to the south end of town Monday, 8/5 through Wednesday, 8/7.
Storm damage debris includes trees, branches, and limbs only. All trees, branches, and limbs must be reduced to a size manageable by hand and placed in the boulevard on the back side of the curb, in order to be picked up.
Contractors are allowed to dispose of City storm damage debris as defined above, at the City Compost site From 8/1 to 8/12.
