Construction will begin the week of September 16th on our 2019 Sidewalk Project!
The City was awarded a federal transportation grant for this project in 2018. The grant focuses on providing "Safe Routes to School" which promotes walking and biking to school through infrastructure improvements. As a result of this grant, we will be receiving 14 blocks of new sidewalk, centered around some of our most used walkways to school (see map).
Residents along the construction areas have received door hangers with additional information. We will also be holding an Open House on September 12th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at the Le Sueur Fire Hall (950 Kingsway Drive). There will not be a formal presentation, but this is an opportunity to share any comments or concerns.
