The Le Sueur Parks & Recreation department provides a fun and safe place for area community members to gather and offers quality programs that will help develop healthy individuals and families.

Park Rental


The City of Le Sueur has 3 beautiful parks that can be rented. Mayo and Legion park shelters have a kitchenette area with running water and restrooms. Park shelters can be reserved from Memorial Day weekend through fall park shut-down (when water is turned off, usually around November 1st).

Reservation Details


The shelters at American Legion ParkMayo Park and Jo Eagle Anderson Park (and the Softball field at Jo Eagle Anderson Park) can be reserved for a fee of $25. The shelters may be reserved from Memorial Day weekend through fall park shut-down (when the water is turned off, usually around November 1st).

Reservations will be honored in the order they are made. Reservations will be taken beginning January 1st of each year. Standing reservations for yearly events (ie. family reunions) will not be accepted. A reservation calendar will be posted at the Mayo Park and Legion Park shelters. The shelter is available for usage without a reservation or fee if it has not been reserved by a fee paying group.

Please call the Community Center at 507-665-3325 to inquire if your requested day is available. We cannot reserve the shelter until payment is received and the Picnic Shelter Reservation Form (PDF) is completed and returned to the Community Center. You can print the Picnic Shelter Reservation Form, complete it and bring it to the Community Center along with your payment.
